Getragen von filmischen Streichern und intimen Vocals zeichnet der Song den emotionalen Weg von Verlust zu Erneuerung nach. Nach einem persönlichen Abschied geschrieben, löscht „Glad I Met You“ den Schmerz nicht aus. Stattdessen blickt der Song ehrlich zurück und verwandelt Erinnerung in Stärke.
Bilder von offenen Straßen, bleibenden Narben und Vorwärtsbewegung begleiten die Zuhörenden auf einer Reise, auf der sie fallen, lernen und wieder aufstehen.
